Vigil for 2500 U.S. Soldier Deaths This Friday
This Friday, there will be a vigil commemorating the 2500 US soldiers that have been killed in the war in Iraq.
2500 - Basta - Enough - No More!
The death toll for American soldiers in Iraq now stands at 2500.
Please join the peace community for a vigil and a peace walk, starting at the Town Clock in
Santa Cruz - the date for this gathering will be Friday evening, June 16th.
We will gather from 7-9 PM at the Town Clock and Collateral Damage statue, at the time of the setting sun.
If you have a small gong or bell, please bring it with you so we can
participate in a nationwide 'Tolling of the Bells' that will be taking place.
'Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for us all'
Bring candles, flowers, poems, songs, signs, banners, flags....
..and most of all, our resolve to bring this slaughter, ours and theirs,
to an end
BASTA!
ENOUGH!!
NO MORE!!!
