Come raise a toast to fighting global warming, cleaning our environment and sticking it to the oil man, as California announces the largest solar program in the country.

On Thursday the California Public Utilities Commission will announce an 11 year, $3 Billion solar program to install a million solar systems on homes and businesses across thse state.

The goal of the program? Bring solar into the mainstream.

So come to City Hall and celebrate a landmark victory for California and the world as we take a major step towards energy independence and ending our reliance on foreign oil to power the country.
