Now the battle is coming to the state capitol!
On Tuesday, April 12th, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, there will be an Emergency Read-In at the capitol. Busloads of people from Salinas will travel to Sacramento and tell the governor and the legislature to "Save Our Libraries!"

Not to be indelicate, but perhaps you should ask the good people of Salinas why they voted down two taxes last election. It is THEIR library system, after all.
Steve, you can go to Salinas and ask all the voters why they voted they way they did. I was told by the women in this photo that many, if not most, of the voters were no clear about what they were voting on. She told me something about an electricity tax being part of the library tax and this caused much confusion for voters. be media ((i))
