Just one week after the November presidential elections come hear one of the country's premier journalists speak about the election results and the potential impact in communities of color. Tavis Smiley is the host of Tavis Smiley on PBS and The Tavis Smiley Show from NPR. His most recent book is
The Unfinished Agenda of Brown v. Board of
Education.

This event opens the Race & Public Policy Conference, sponsored by the Applied Research Center, the Center for Social Justice at Boalt Law School, The Sargent Shriver National Center on
Poverty Law and the Philanthropic Initiative for Racial Equity.
