Stop the Wall Tour Coming to the Bay Area!
Thursday, October 28:
1) Wall event at Berkeley Campus, Sproul Hall, 10am-2pm
Co-organized by Students for Justice in Palestine and Tzedek.
Come out and help educate the campus community about the devastating effects of Israel’s illegal Wall being built in the West Bank. See a full scale model of the Wall and learn about what you can do to pressure Israel to comply with international law and tear down the wall!
2) Panel presentation and power point on the Wall and resistance.
7-9pm at the Berkeley Fellowship of Universalist-Unitarians, 1924 Cedar St., Berkeley. $5-$10, no one turned away for lack funds
Presenters: Erica Kay and John Reese with the Stop the Wall tour will speak on the environmental effects, especially water, of the occupation and the Wall. Lisa Nessan with ISM and a freelance journalist with the Alternative Information Center and Amir Terkel, an Israeli refusnik and peace activist will both speak about their recent experiences in Palestine/Israel and what we can do to resist Israel’s illegal Wall.
Saturday October 30:
Wall event at Washington Square Park (North Beach in SF)
10:00am - 5:00pm
Come see a full scale model of the Israel’s illegal Wall and learn about the devastating effects it’s having on the people of the West Bank. The Stop the Wall Campaign-US has been on a road tour across the US since July 2. Don't miss this opportunity to see what it would be like to have a Wall like this in our community. Meet the local organizations that are mobilizing against the Wall and learn what you can do locally to pressure Israel to tear down the Wall.
