VICTORIA ASHLEY & JOSEPH ANDERSON DEBUNK KERRY AND "ABB"-THINK ON KPFA'S HARD KNOCK RADIO!

RE: Victoria Ashley & "Joseph from Berkeley" Anderson discuss 3rd party politics, Nader/Camejo, the Greens, and John Kerry, on KPFA-fm out of Berkeley, CA.

Take "the red pill" and wake up -- or take "the blue pill" and go back to sleep!

For anyone who missed it:

Alameda Green Party elected county council official and activist, Victoria Ashley (she is *very* articulate and incisive; I recommended her for interview) and Joseph from Berkeley were interviewed by hiphop culture journalist and radio host Davey D on KPFA's Hard Knock Radio -- Tues, Aug 10, at 4:00pm -- about 3rd party politics and the whole issue of the ABB mentality and Kerry vs. Bush.

The program started with a great excerpted historical speech by Malcolm X about the two major parties.

(The day before, Aug 9, Davey played a great speech by Peter Camejo. And even KPFA's "The Morning Show" had Native-American activist-academic Ward Churchill on, in the 7:30am segment, to debunk the ABB and Kerry mythology.)

Most of the time format was spent receiving studio call-in phone calls, so we really didn't have time to go too deep into the issue and bring out a lot of facts debunking Kerry as "The Great Liberal/Progressive/Leftist Hope", but some good points were nonetheless mentioned (including some very important, then, breaking news by myself about Kerry) and the show was okay. I also did a creative piece (although rushed) about the RepubliCrat "Matrix".

Davey D is to be commended for giving a voice to an *alternative* perspective on KPFA and helping to break the (until recently) logjam at KPFA of Nader Haters and "Leftists for Kerry!!"

If you missed the program, you can listen to KPFA's audio archive at http://www.kpfa.org and listen to the hear it there at Hard Knock Radio.

(KPFA recommends the latest version of Windows Media Player or Winamp, rather than RealPlayer, for better results and control.)

Any feedback/criticism is always welcome. Sorry I was so busy last-minute preparing that I didn't have time to let people know in advance.

A few particularly excellent articles (obtainable online, Google/search them using quotation marks for exact title/string searches) that I/we recommended on the program were:

"Kerry vs. Kerry-Lite",
by Stephen Gowan (Canadian political essayist/commentator)

"Neo-cons, Part II",
by Youssef Ibrahim

"Dear Progressive Democrat" or
"Open Letter to Progressive Democrats",
by Paul Felton

"Rigged Convention; Divided Party: How David Cobb Won with Only 12% of the Vote",
by Carol Miller & Forrest Hill

And anything related to the Green Party [or Kerry, the war in Iraq, Palestine/Israel] in Alexander Cockburn's political journal CounterPunch (look down left column):
