It's a beautiful, family-friendly, participatory event. Come decorate lantern shades for floating on the lagoon at sunset, hear Japanese flute and drum performances, sing peace songs, hear greetings from the mayors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, fold origami peace cranes, and more. Free. Sponsored by an array of local organizations including Berkeley Peace and Justice Commission, ProgressivePortal.org, Women for Peace, Buddhist Peace Fellowship, many others.
