THE STATE AND HEALTH OF REASON IN OUR DAY AND AGE PRESENTED BY AM FONDA Isn't it about time to take a look at the state of health of REASON in this day and age? When is the last time you had a checkup at a doctor's office? The history of our own state of health, and the health and well-being of Humanity is a saga of well-being and sickness, cures, and remedies. Therapies that work for individuals also work for Humanity as a whole. Lets take a look at War and Peace, the evolution of philosophy, spirituality and the role that REASON has played from prehistoric days to the present. From the shadows of the Oakland Fellowship Hall let's walk along an archeological El Camino of Reason. We may well spot trends of deterioration, stabilization and cures along the way; we may traverse several epochs and eras, elucidating points of interest from a humanist perspective. Along the way we may even illuminate fundamental principles that have led to the stance the United Nations has adopted: that defending human rights worldwide is a benign and worthwhile goal for all people of all nations to pursue. WE could not have arrived at this point if it were not for healthy REASON. Or could we?
