Potluck dinner at 5:00 p.m.; Program at 6:00 p.m. Tara Dorabji is the Outreach and Community Organizer at Tri-Valley Communities Against a Radioactive Environment, a Livermore-based watchdog group that works to empower public partcipation in the government’s secretive nuclear weapons programs. Tara heads the “Project Exodus” campaign, which speaks directly to nuclear scientists and engineers at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory; she also coordinates campus outreach and organizes major actions at the Lab. Tara will speak about nuclear proliferation and the risk of biowarfare, including the controversial proposal to site a biological weapons lab at Livermore. This event is FREE and open to all. Sponsored by Women's International League for Peace and Freedom - Peninsula Branch; cosponsored by Peninsula Peace and Justice Center.
