The Seymour Pioneer Museum presents
First Thursday Lecture Series
Thursday, July 10th, Michael Weller will kick off the new FREE First Thursday Lecture Series at the Seymour Pioneer Museum. Mr. Weller will discuss the topic of the museum's latest exhibition, silver production in California history. The discussion will focus on the rise of the Comstock Lode, the history of silver production from the discovery of silver in California to the 1920s and 1930s, and the story of such companies as Shreve and Company. The evening will begin with a reception at 5:30 with the lecture from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission to the museum and program will both be free that day and the museum will stay open until 7 p.m.
The First Thursday Lecture Series will continue with a discussion of pioneering women given by Cathy Luchetti on August 7th and palm reading and the San Francisco Call with Meredith Eliassen on September 4th.
