Background:
Huntingdon Life Sciences is an animal testing firm with laboratories in the
UK and New Jersey. The laboratory has been exposed five times since 1997 in
undercover investigations punching beagle puppies in the face, dissecting a
live monkey, abusing animals undergoing painful, invasive procedures,
falsifying scientific data, and violating numerous animal welfare
regulations. The laboratory was nearly shutdown by the UK government because
of violations.
Since the laboratory has been exposed, customers and investors have
withdrawn all financial support. Yet companies like State Street have
continued to pump money into this laboratory, which tortures, mutilates, and
kills monkeys, cats, dogs, rats, rabbits, and other animals on a daily
basis.
Animal activists have successfully campaigned against countless investors
who have since withdrawn financial support from the lab. We can do the same
with State Street with your help!
