DESCRIPTION:Every day, 500 animals enter the doors of the notorious animal testing
\nlaboratory Huntingdon Life Sciences. None of them will leave alive. Speak
\nout for the 180,000 animals killed every year at the laboratory!\n\nJoin
Animal Rights Direct Action Coalition-San Francisco to protest against
\nState Street Corporation! State Street owns nearly 15 million shares in
the \nlaboratory. It is State Street's money that helps keep the doors to
 HLS \nopen!\n\nWHEN: Friday, November 16, 11 am\nWHERE: State Street
Offices in San Francisco (One Market Street-near Justin \nHerman
Plaza)\nCONTACT: ARDAC-(415)364-3053\n\nSigns and leaflets will be
provided.\n\nBackground:\nHuntingdon Life Sciences is an animal testing
firm with laboratories in the \nUK and New Jersey. The laboratory has been
exposed five times since 1997 in \nundercover investigations punching
beagle puppies in the face, dissecting a \nlive monkey, abusing animals
undergoing painful, invasive procedures, \nfalsifying scientific data, and
violating numerous animal welfare \nregulations. The laboratory was nearly
shutdown by the UK government because \nof violations.\n\nSince the
laboratory has been exposed, customers and investors have \nwithdrawn all
financial support. Yet companies like State Street have \ncontinued to pump
money into this laboratory, which tortures, mutilates, and \nkills monkeys,
cats, dogs, rats, rabbits, and other animals on a daily \nbasis.\n\nAnimal
activists have successfully campaigned against countless investors \nwho
have since withdrawn financial support from the lab. We can do the same
\nwith State Street with your help!\n\nFor more information on Huntingdon
 Life Sciences, see: shacusa.net\n\n\n
