Stop the Lockup!

Let your voices be heard. The Board of Supervisors Rules Committee & the SF Youth Commission's Youth Justice Committee is holding a hearing on reforming the juvenile Justice Intake System:  "How should the city change the Intake system so fewer youth are detained at juvenile hall?"  This is the first in a series of hearings on these issues.   Join dozens of young people and advocates to tell the Supervisors: 1. It does more harm than good to incarcerate youth who haven't committed serious, violent offenses!   2. We want a fair & unbiased Intake process for arrested youth! Hold Probation Officers accountable for their decisions to lock kids up. 3. We want more alternatives to detention programs in the community!
