Springtime Herbs & Foods for Health & Celebration Afternoon Workshop: Saturday, March 29 (repeated Saturday, April 5) 12:30-6:30 Celebrate Spring--the season of fertility, love, & new beginnings, with simple, healing, delicious meals & herbal tonics! Drawing on mythology and the 5 elements as a seasonal and ecological approach to health, we will cover thirteen (sacred number to Fria the goddess of Love) Spring herbs and a variety of whole foods, emphasizing their culinary, medicinal and symbolic uses that both honor the earth, and support us physically and energetically in the Springtime. We will prepare and enjoy herbal teas, syrups and skin care products, and a meal that will include a seasonal selection of grains, roots and greens with herb seasonings, a delicious herbal soup of Spring vegetables & legumes, and a wonderful salad of fresh Springtime herbs, with brown bread and elderberry wine. $80.00, Located in San Francisco For more information and to reserve a place call 510.390.3956 Georgann Cunney is an organic cook, garden consultant and CIIS MA-Integral Health Educator, advocating celebratory / sustainably produced food, our meaningful relationship to the life force in our food, and the earth from which it comes. Judy Knoebel is a practicing Bay Area herbalist who loves to encourage the simple exchange we can experience with plants.
