University Budget Crisis: Where is the money really going?

by Jill Strong (repost)
At Santa Cruz the Universtity's budget crisis has affected students and faculty by cutting outreach programs, cutting writing programs (specifically the Journalism minor) and raising tuition.
The University of California, though in the midst of a budget crisis, is still a heavy campaign contributor for various California politicians. At Santa Cruz the Universtity's budget crisis has affected students and faculty by cutting outreach programs, cutting writing programs (specifically the Journalism minor) and raising tuition. But the University has contributed more than $68,000 to California congressmen and congresswomen. Here's where the money is going:

Barbara Boxer $21,400
Susan A. Davis $17,800
Dianne Feinstein $16,375
Lois Capps $14,600

by going 2 the military?
Just wondering how much school money ends up going to military weapons contracters in CA like Lockheed Martin, McDonnel Douglas, Boeing, Howard Hughes, etc..

The new high tech weapons and fighter jets are not cheap to research and/or build, so it must come from somewhere, how much is from the schools?

"In 1995 Martin Marietta took advantage of these same federal reimbursements in merging with Lockheed, creating the world's largest arms maker with $28 billion in 1997 sales. In the process, the new Lockheed Martin pocketed about $1 billion in taxpayer money for costs related to employee relocations, plant closures, and associated expenses. Approximately $31 million was paid in executive bonuses alone -- courtesy of the federal budget. About 30,000 workers lost their jobs after the federally bankrolled merger, and even more were laid off when LM turned around and bought tactical-missile maker Loral Corp. for its Loral Vought Systems division."

Yes, the government is taking money from education and giving it to weapons contracters so they can research and build more sophisticated weaponry so the US military can next invade Syria and steal their oil so Halliburton/Cheney/Arnold/Bush klan can drive around in HUMVEES and profit from stolen oil..
