San Francisco's tab for the war on Iraq: $279,200,000 and San Jose, $378,700,000
The Cost of War with Iraq
Using a figure of $100 billion for an estimate of how much U.S. taxpayers would have to pay for a war with Iraq, NPP has calculated the cost taxpayers of each state and some selected cities will end up paying.
To see our factsheets on costs to each state go to: Costs to the States.
For costs to selected cities in some states go to: Costs to Selected Cities.
For costs to selected cities in Massachusetts go to: Costs to Selected Cities in Massachusetts.
If you want to find out if your town/city has voted against going to war with Iraq, or if you want your town/city council to vote against an Iraq invasion and would like some "how to" information, go to: Cities for Peace.
To see the methodology we used to calculate the cost of the war with Iraq, go to Methodology.
These links are live at the site. Shame on the Bush administration for destroying two countries at the same time.
