Meet at the Santa Clara Caltrain station at 8:30 am. Exact location to be announced (see below)
George W. Bush is making a speech at United Defense Technologies located at 1205 Coleman Ave, in Santa Clara 95050 (Near Costco). Bush will arrive between 9 and 9:30 AM on Friday and speak for an hour. Please join thousands of residents in the Bay Area and various organizations - South Bay Mobilization, California Peace Action, Direct Action to Stop the War, Global Exchange, International ANSWER, Not In Our Name, Peninsula Peace and Justice Center, Bay Area Against War, Labor for Peace and Justice, and United for Peace and Justice, and many more, as we tell him:
Money for jobs, education and people's needs, not for war!
Details:
- Take the Caltrain to the Santa Clara Caltrain Station and a shuttle will be provided to take you to the protest site.
- If you are driving, park at or near Marshalli Park (local map calls this Lafayette Park) at the corner of Lafayette and El Camino Real. Shuttles will be provided to take you to the protest site.
- Buses are available from San Francisco and Oakland. Call Global Exchange at 415-575-5555 to reserve a seat or to help with carpooling.
- If you have a van or SUV, call 408-998-8504 to help with shuttling people to the protest site (only 1 mile away).
- Carpools will leave from the South Bay Mobilization office at 8:00 am. We are located at 480 North First Street, San Jose, CA 95103
