Saturday: Protest at a Time & Place of Our Choosing
The fed-directed SFPD cannot stifle political dissent in this city forever. We have to keep coming back, keep protesting, keep getting in the streets. This Saturday, we call on people to join with us in doing that.
Now the Oakland Police can shoot us in the face before we even get a chance to protest?
Now the SFPD are the only people who get to block traffic and march in the streets?
Now the US death machine can bomb the very journalists who will claim that they were targeting Saddam Hussein?
NO.
This weekend, all Bay Area people should turn out for the international day of protest against the aggression in Iraq, Philippines, Palestine, Colombia and everywhere the U.S.'s bloodthirsty reach extends.
We call for unpermitted marches after the main rally, all night, to show that in the city of San Francisco, history is on the side of the people. Right now, human beings are burning alive in Iraq and we will show that a few arrests or a few bruises are not enough to stop us from stopping them.
NOTICE TO POLICE OFFICERS: If you have any sense of integrity whatsoever, you will disobey your Tom Ridge/Richard Bruce-controlled superiors this weekend. When they instruct you to charge and beat people, or charge and surround people, just don't do it. Or do it slowly. Give people a chance to escape. Get in the way of the officers you know to be right-wing, pro-war macho sickos. Stick your foot out at the right time and send those officers tumbling to the ground. The choice is really yours. Do the cops wearing American flags on their head like a bunch of goosestepping idiots really represent you?
