Video of undercover cops at the breakaway march 2/16/03
This video documents undercover cops in action during the breakaway anti-war action in San Francisco on February 16th, 2003.
This video documents undercover cops in action during the breakaway anti-war action in San Francisco on February 16th, 2003. There are three undercover cops shown here. The first two were easily identifiable while I was shooting video at the event. I was able to find a third one after reviewing the footage.
Cop #1: You can see a black cop with a moustache wearing a headband which covered his ears (seemed like an attempt to cover up a likely earpiece). He's wearing a black leather jacket and green camouflage pants. He was a no-brainer to spot (perhaps since I was actively looking out for them) as he followed the crowd on the sidewalk at a distance with a frozen cop expression on his face the whole time. At one point he is seen holding a long wooden stick. He is clearly shown behind police lines during later arrests and pointing out things to uniformed cops. This is the same undercover that people pointed out from the January action.
Cop #2: This one was wearing a beanie, black hooded fleece sweatshirt and light blue jeans. He was videotaping the crowd while always keeping a safe distance. He was also very easy to point out and became noticeably uncomfortable as people started taunting hiim.
Cop #3: I noticed this one while reviewing the footage of the arrests at Market and 8th. I saw what appeared to be a white guy dressed in a navy blue hooded sweatshirt and light blue jeans helping uniformed cops with arrests. It seemed like he could have been wearing a baseball cap underneath the hoodie. I didn't find a shot of his face until I reviewed a footage of cops on horses on a rampage that happened before those arrests. He seems to be at least in his forties with a white moustache.
It is very likely there were other undercovers that I wasn't able to identify but perhaps others were able to. For those of you that documented the event using the visual medium, look carefully through your video footage or photos for these or any other undercover cops and publish them here.

i tried to watch this but it (like some but not all quicktime) didn't work in my explorer crapola. fk micro$uk.
i'm getting mozilla (newly released open source and better anyways)

1. At least one of these cops has cheated on his wife. Maybe he is doing it now. We need pictures. We need to post them here.
2. At least one of these cops is probably involved in something corrupt. We need pictures. We need to post them here.
3. At LEAST one of these cops has skeletons in their closet that they don't want anyone to know about. We want everyone to know about them.
All undercover cops creep around 850 Bryant. All it would take is one enterprising person to throw down a couple hundred bucks to hire a private investigator. Be careful, Jim Bell proves that "stalking" cops is no good. We don't want to stalk anyone. What we want is to do investigative work on corruption at SFPD.
And there's plenty of it. The chief pig right now, Prentice Sanders, is reknowned for assisting in frame-ups. The assistant chief pig, Alex Fagan... well, heheh... just check the Chronicle lately for the dirt on him.
Being an undercover cop is lower than snake shit in a wagon rut. Being deep undercover means making tight friends with people only to stab them in the back for some sicko twisted reason. Undercover cops are fucked in the head.

Channel 2 news keeps running the same footage from this weekend. In one shot they keep using, they focus right on the black undercover cop with a moustache. They literally zoom in on him. Just to let you know -- it'll be good for his face to be imprinted in all of our minds.

Me and friends noticed the first guy. I tried to photograph him near Powell St. but couldn't get a good shot. He was on his cell phone every 5 minutes.
Another guy was video taping the whole thing. He was dressed plain, but had Nike shoes. The guy in the first photo was wearing Nike shoes too.
Nike shoes are a dead giveaway if you ask me.

One of the police identified here as an undercover cop was over to talk to a motorcycle cop who had a bullhorn on his motorcycle. The audio is not very clear but you can watch that on this video:

" 5:43 Why is there a bullhorn strapped to a motor officer's off-road motorcycle?"

Hope not, I've had good experiences with this guy in the past. He even let my 3 year old nephew pet his horsy during the January ANSWER march, but the situation was less tense in January.
