Fri 7 AM nonviolent civil disobedience at the SF Federal Building
Dear friends,
The following is a call to action that was put out by a group of representatives from several anti-war organizations, including Not in Our Name and Global Exchange among others. I hope that you will take a few moments to send this message out on whatever lists you may have. Send it especially to Bay Area
organizations. This could be a VERY historic action.
Protest the War Vote!
If the House OR Senate votes to give Bush license to attack Iraq authorizing a war of aggression that would kill thousands of civilians, cost taxpayers billions, lose the friendship of our allies and destabilize the Middle East Fill the air with our outraged voices! Fill the streets with our marching feet!
Emergency response plan:
Thursday BART alert: 4:30 PM after the first vote meet at Market and Montgomery, San Francisco
MARCH to the Federal Building, 450 Golden Gate Avenue, and surround it with unprecedented outbreaks of democracy
Nightlong vigil, drums, dancing, People's Assemblies, skills sharing, direct action trainings, candles, rites of exorcism and healing to bring Liberty back from the dead (and whatever else we can think of or get away with)
A government that does not reflect the will of the people is illegitimate
Shut it down! 7 AM nonviolent civil disobedience at the
Federal Building.
The choice is in our hands. The power is ours, if we take it. Take Back Our Democracy!

Won't you children ever grow up? These little street rants have NO effect on those whom you are trying to influence.
They only satisfy a desperate need to make each other in the streets feel good. Beating drums, yelling, rites of exorcism and all that nonsense just makes utter fools of you all in the eyes of the civilized world.
When will you kids grow up?

When will you kids grow up?
And taking the streets works, it's the
time they tell you "you are surrounded"
is when they are the most worried.
Let's make them afraid. It worked in
Argentina after those folk got tired of getting
screwed every way by their "rulers"
Kick all these roach dropping and their henchmen
the hell out of this country WITH their money; we
could build it up from scratch without them and still
have a strong and just land. Just look up, you'll
find it's the same boot on all our necks.

It sure has in the last 40 years. Just look at how much the status quo has changed. 99.99% of what these street children have asked for has been acomplished. Damn, I'm so glad we listened to these intellectual midgets else we could not have saved us from ourselves.

Aaarrf, aaarrf, right again dad, can't change anything, don't even try. Ruff, ruff the kids don't understand the world like you do, dad, aarrf, aarrf. According to, ruff, ruff, our canine logic WAR IS GOOD, help economy, aarrf, make our leaders strong and proud, ruff, just like our pit bull cousins, aarrf, aarrf, aarrf. LONG LIVE DEATH. Ruff!!!

David Berkowitz is out speading lies and molesting his neighbors......AGAIN!!!!
You are so wrong, Sheepdog, so, so wrong. And so very paranoid. We are not like Argentina. You have the right to go into the streets and make fools of yourself. You have the right to dance, beat drums, and knit in the streets, but it will get you nowhere.
But you have the responsibility to use your mind, instead of your drums and your dancing skills, to learn and educate and value what no one else has in this world.
Instead, the Children of the Street squander intelligence in favor of making asses of themselves just so they can impress their friends.
You will go nowhere and accomplish nothing.

Son of Sam never heard of using his mind or voting.
Instead, he justs barks, hoping for attention and a biscuit.

without labels to confuse and divide us.
Getting in the streets IS a fearsome endeavor
to show your common humanity against a threat
real and unworthy of intelligent analysis to refute
that threatens not just our liberty, but our
pride as a people. It IS the most fearsome of things
to some. It is the same beast that awoke in France
before the bloodbath of the revolution. The same thing
with the seamstress's strike in Russia that ended up with
the Soviet Union. Not a sharp tool indeed, but massive
and once wielded, not stopped without much suffering.
The ruling class has only this one fear.
Divided they may be about certain issues but upon one
thing they MOSTLY agree.
Keep us divided, throwing rocks at each other to fight
for scraps while our resources and labor are kept in
their hands. In their greedy hands.
After all, it does belong to them...
Maybe getting in the streets shows our common unity
and outrage. Now we have to inform and educate minds
waking up to a enemy, naked and revealed as what it is.
Maybe we can stop the bloodbath in time.
why are others so vitriolic about how some choose to voice themselves? If going to the streets doesn't matter to them, then THEY don't have to go. I for one do not want this unjust war, and I know the reasons why. The others who are complaining here, why you are on this site at all is curious, don't you have something better to do? Why would you bother communicating with people you consider to be 'idiot street people'? ask yourselves this, and while you are at it, ask yourselves WHY does bush want this war so badly? if he is just after Hussein, ask the UN to arrest him and take him to trial for war crimes, or just assassinate him, it's been done before. but to invade the entire country, kill MORE innocent civilians (have you any idea how many have died just due to the sanctions, and yes it is our fault, cause we knew it was happening) because Saddam is an evil terrible man, does that really make sense to you? c'mon now, put that intelligence you've been hyping to good use and THINK FOR YOURSELVES!!!
We are NOT alone dispite the constant blare
of the thought police, not to look each other
in the eyes and see.

I can't belive how naive you people are!The U.N. arrest Saddam? Those bumbling idoits! Remember the "job"they did in Bosnia? Are they going to drive police cars in Iraq and get blown up by tanks?Saddam lives in over 48 palaces and never sleeps in the same place twice in a row.He is so paranoid of his own people that he has extra measures to save his own smelly ass.

The US gave Hussein biological agents to use against Iranians in the Iraq-Iran war. The US continued to favor Hussein up until AND AFTER he gassed the Kurds.
The US couldn't give a shit about the Iraqi people. If it did, it wouldn't have DELIBERATELY destroyed Iraq's civilian infrastructure, including its water sanitation system. US government documents confirm that the US knew the outcome of destroying Iraq's water treatment capabilities but proceeded with that policy anyway.
During the Persian Gulf "war", the US massacred thousands of retreating Iraqi conscripts on the "Highway of Death" while giving the Iraqi Republican Guard carte blanche to smash uprisings against Hussein's regime.
Bombings and sanctions have killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's in the past dozen years.
SpiderDude, the ignoramus, acts like its self-evident that the US wishes to replace Hussein with a democratic and free society. One only need look at all the petrol despots that the US has assisted and kept in power in the MidEast in the past 50 years: The US capitalist classes' interest in the Mid East is ensuring a smooth flow of oil, period. The US is already talking about how the loot will be distributed once its former ally is overthrown.
Meantime, sanctimonious FOOLS like spiderdude trip over themselves lavishing America with praise for its committment to freedom and and all that jive.

Your a sycopath for thinking that. dorks
In the best of all possible worlds, the next terrorist attack would find all the virulently anti-American polemicists espousing blindly anti-war positions all congregated conveniently at Ground Zero. In that fortuitous case the main flaws in such arguments would be revealed even to the slowest of learners – with the great benefit that those of us with more finely-honed survival instincts would project our wiser genes into subsequent generations. I suspect that incineration, choking to death on deadly gas or perhaps a more protracted death struggle against a deadly virus without known cure would be a remarkably focusing event. Maybe in that instant you could join hands with Alexander Cockburn, Noam Chomsky, Chalmers Johnson and Ramsey Clark and peacefully, silently convey your betrayal to your scornful, pitiless executioners. I guess even a mushroom cloud has a silver lining…
Ok, this is a seroius question. If the U.S. is a joke to freedom, etc. Who then should we be aspiring to be like?
