Juneteenth on KPFA 94.1 FM

by Pacifica Fan
Juneteenth on KPFA, 94.1 FM and the other 4 Pacifica stations is today, June 19, 2002. Turn on your radio; take your radio to work with or without earphones, and above all pledge to retire the debt left by the saboteurs we defeated with lawsuits in December 2001. You will hear Angela Davis, Alice Walker and others in 15 hours of programming commemorating the day when Texas slaves received the news of the Emancipation Proclamation that they were free, over 2 years after that proclamation was issued.

The Emancipation Proclamation of January 1, 1863 freed the slaves in the rebelling territories, namely the Confederacy, of which Texas was a part, but the planters were allowed 2 more harvests before the slaves were given the news that they were free. I have a degree in American history and never heard any discussion of Juneteenth Day in class, but you will hear all about it on KPFA as all 5 Pacifica stations join together to celebrate this important day in American history and retire the $4.8 million debt left by the saboteurs who were defeated with our lawsuits in December 2001. Those stations are in Berkeley, Los Angeles, Houston, Washington, DC and New York City. These are all listener-sponsored, community radio stations, bringing us the news, history, literature and music that you will get nowhere else.

We need KPFA now more than ever. You will learn much today, Juneteenth 2002, and please give what you can.

Hip, hip, hooray, We love KPFA!

An obvious plug by a KPFA employee.

What a fucking joke KPFA and Pacifica are. I never heard a day long bunch of horseshit as was on Juneteenth. Nothing but a bunch of daylong leftist propaganda, so what else is new about KPFA. I guess the only thing good about it was that you got to hear all the lefty whiners and crybaby hand wringers back to back to back. Free speech radio, should be called lie upon lie radio. AND when they have the quarterly fund raisers, it’s not to keep “free speech radio” alive it’s for them to keep their pathetic jobs there, the lefties that contribute during these drives are as stupid as the hosts.

Why doesn’t KPFA open their call in lines for more than a few minutes at a time? I’ll tell you why – their afraid of someone calling in with FACTS. The only callers that usually get through are a couple Berzerkly types so stoned they don’t know which end is up. Here’s a rundown of the daily commie hosts:

Philip Maldari & Andrea Lewis: Fag boy and Aunt Jemima

Kris Welch: She can barely speak a whole sentence at a time. She must have good kneepads to keep her job there.

Dennis Bernstein: A self-hating Jew that believes that there’s a CIA agent behind every traffic ticket and world event.

Layna Berman: The only positive host - does not bring politics into her show.

All the rest – mombo jumbo smorgasbord of 60’s and 70’s hippies that have nothing better to do than spew leftist ideology.

So why listen to them at all– as once said “keep your friends close and your enemies closer”. Nuff said…
