A Conspiracy Theory

by Leon Kunstenaar
Trump will mount a full-on military coup
We all breath a sigh of relief at the drubbing the Republicans have just received. But this was not due to any great skills or virtues from the Democrats. It was because they were simply there to receive the votes from a population that has grown disgusted not only by the immorality and thievery of the Trump regime but by the obvious unwillingness of the Republican party to place the most fundamental precepts of democracy above a blind subservience to power.

This was exemplified by the Republican unwillingness to convict an impeached Trump for the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

Contrary to what Trump thought, it seems that many people do care about these things after all.

Trump has said that he will accept the election results and try to work across the aisle.
Has he ever been honest bad truthful about anything? I believe that he is planing a
full-on military coup d'etat.

Trump spent his first stint as President as a despot in training. He has learned that
reversing a presidential election will require a lot more than sicking a mob on the Capital.

He has learned that all centers of independent competence and loyalty to the Constitution, especially in the military, must be first be purged. This was done in Trump's second term.

With Elon Musk and DOGE, this was also done in almost all non-military areas.

Hesgeth has now authorized the deployment of combat vehicles with the national
guard in Washington DC. Very useful in a coup.

It will still be impossible, even with Democratic control of congress, to pass
meaningful new legislation because of the filibuster and Trump's veto power. But it will
however, be possible to prevent Trump and the Republicans from doing additional legislative
damage.

Trump knows, if and when the new Congress is installed, that he faces an endless barrage of
subpoenas, inquiries, exposures into his thievery and betrayals of his office and finally, the full
exposure of his crimes in the Epstein orbit.

So Trump faces a grim future. He is unlikely to be willing to spend the next two years this way.
Trump's instinct, and with him it is only instinct that prevails, is to never accept defeat but
to double down and attack, attack, attack. He plans to go big, supported by the remaining
military he believes will back him. The greater the outrage, the better.

He must also be aware of the possibility of failure in a coup attempt. It would be wise for Congress to use its newly acquired investigative powers to find the foreign countries where he has pre-positioned assets and prepared the plane to escape on.

Update: Trump has just name Stephen Miller, the most extreme of the MAGA extremists, as White House Chief of Staff.
