New Human Banner - Hallelujah!

Dear Human Banner Community,

Hallelujah! Who expected THAT!?! After Tuesday's exhilarating election, we had a spirited core group Zoom Wednesday night, and decided to attempt to bring at least 1,000 people together for a celebratory banner at Stairwell 17 on Ocean Beach — this coming Sunday morning.

Yes, less than 72 hours from now! And no kidding — YOU are key here!

— If 1,000 people register by 8:00 pm TONIGHT (Friday, November 6) — we will spend all day Saturday preparing a banner for you to fill in, beginning at 11 am Sunday morning. Aerial photography at 11:30 am. (Helicopter possible, but not yet arranged.)

— For this event, we may all be lying down inside the lettering. You should bring a blanket or tarp or poncho or some other kind of ground cloth, just in case.

— If 1,000 people do not register by 8 pm, we will cancel this banner, and see you down the road at a later time — perhaps next weekend, but more likely, in my opinion, sometime in 2027.

— We’ll post the outcome and more details at approximately 8:10 pm tonight.

We very much want to meet and honor this historic moment. We may be able to pull this off; we may not. Several things still need to go our way. But hey, we have just seen that anything is possible, right? If you can come, please register, and please invite your friends to register. And THANK YOU for voting!
