SEIU 1000 which represents 100,000 workers at the State of California had an unfair labor strike UFL because of the refusal of the Newsom administration to seriously bargain with them. They rallied at the California Public Utility Commission in San Francisco on October 21, 2026

California SEIU 1000 which has 100,000 workers had the first unfair labor practice strike and rallied on the picket lines on October 21, throughout the state. They are charging the Governor Newsom and the Department of Human Resources is engaged in unfair bargaining. They were joined by CAPS UAW and other state worker unions as well as Uber Lyft drivers who are also organized by the SEIU.
