Celebrate Latinx Heritage Month with a screening of this timely movie about union struggles, cross-racial solidarity, and the leadership of women. Made in 1954, Salt of the Earth was banned for its pro-Communist depiction of a miners' strike and the role of rank-and-file union members and their families fight against the powerful owners.
Lunch served after the film for a $10-15 donation.
