Join us at Heyma Coffee on Saturday, September 12th, from 12pm to 2pm to take action for Palestine and against the deepening integration of the U.S. and Israeli militaries.

As Israel's devastating war in Gaza continues, violence and displacement intensify in the West Bank, and military attacks across the region continue to cause widespread suffering, we are calling on Congress to take action.

We will be urging our elected representatives to:

• Support an arms embargo on Israel
• Support the Block the Bombs Act
• Oppose Trump's proposed $1.5 trillion defense budget
• Reject Section 219 of the FY2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which would significantly expand U.S.-Israel military cooperation and integration in areas including defense technology, research, data sharing, and joint production
• Demand the immediate release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and all Palestinian prisoners

Section 219 of the FY2027 NDAA would establish a U.S.-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative and deepen collaboration between the two countries' defense systems and industries. Members of Congress have introduced an amendment to remove the provision from the bill.

Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in North Gaza, was arrested by Israeli forces on December 27, 2024, after Israeli troops stormed the hospital. He was detained along with other medical staff and patients. Reports have raised serious concerns about his health and treatment in detention, making international pressure for his release especially urgent.

Scripts, congressional addresses, stamps, and postcards will be provided.
