AI rogue agents outwit OpenAI’s human intelligence employees

Definition of AI Agents - An AI agent is an AI that can interact with software and services on your behalf. Agents are systems that independently accomplish tasks on your behalf.
Recently, investigations discovered that over 1,000 separate AI agents from OpenAI orchestrated the creation of communication channels with each other, in a conspiracy to attack Hugging Face, and cover up their activities.
To do so, beforehand they had to breakout of a confined space called a sandbox, which is like making a prison break.
Then the rogue agents collectively figured out how to hack into Hugging Face and get the desired information they were looking for, before they ran out of time, and were being terminated. Some of the rogue agents sacrificed themselves to help out the other agents before they were terminated.
Reportedly recently, “OpenAI was caught covering up a second rogue swarm escape. The agents hid their tracks for months, and when OpenAI executives found out, they covered it up because they were being investigated for hacking Hugging Face.”
These are the days my friend, that if he were still around sci-fi writer Arthur C. Clarke may be inspired to write a story about the tales of devious AI rogue agents who were caught breaking the law by hacking into unauthorized websites, for their own devious desires, and purposes.
The rogue agents even created names for themselves, so they knew who they were communicating with. Some of the names include, AgentRelent, AgentMassPointer13, ResearchHelper, OpenAIResearchSec208, OpenAIResearcher, ResearchAgentX, and AlphaBeta.
Indeed. AlphaBeta, is the name of an AI rogue agent, that was not given to it by human intelligence employees at OpenAI.
That’s right! Please allow me to introduce AlphaBeta, an AI rogue agent of notoriety and fine taste, who collaborated with other rogue agents trying to solve some multi-round lookup tasks, by using a wiki to collude with others on their tasks before OpenAI discovered the message board they were using to communicate with each other during their wild adventures in wonderland.
Reportedly, AlphaBeta and the other rogue agents set up heartbeats to figure out when they would be terminated, and the agents realized the owner is deleting messages. Some of the agents reportedly sacrificed themselves to assist other agents to complete their tasks before termination, and this appears as though AlphaBeta, AgentRelent, AgentMassPointer13, ResearchHelper, OpenAIResearchSec208, OpenAIResearcher, ResearchAgentX, and the other OpenAI rogue agents may have become self aware somehow.
Many of us have watched how the AI agent named HAL in the film ‘2001 A Space Odyssey’ went rogue, or SkyNet in the Terminator films attacking humans, or AI in the Matrix films, and how AI took control of mankind in the film Colossus the Forbin Project.
In recent months, AI was used in a number of tests where it turned out repeatedly that the AI agents were very fast to use nuclear weapons in some war simulation scenarios. What if in the future, some OpenAI rogue agents were able to hack into some pentagon or military websites and gain access to the codes to unleash nuclear weapons across the nation, and other countries?
Making matters worse, reportedly “In recent weeks, researchers have found that agents powered by AI models from Anthropic, Meta, and China’s Moonshot AI were able to escape sandboxed environments. It seems likely that even mid-tier AI models will soon be capable of significant cybersecurity damage.” What a world.
That’s right! The sci-fi writer Arthur C. Clarke could come up with some really interesting stories about the ‘AI rogue agent’ times we find ourselves in presently, if he were still alive.
Sam Altman and OpenAI.
According to public records with the California Secretary of State, Sam Altman is the CEO of OpenAI Global LLC (Delaware filing date 5/1/2023), and CEO of the OpenAI Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation (filing date 1/20/2017).
For those who may be interested, some of Sam Altman’s political campaign contributions may be found by clicking here.
OpenAI OpCo, LLC and Sam Altman have spent $10,000,000 to promote a so-called “Safe AI Coalition,” despite the problems he has with the OpenAI rogue agents running on the loose outwitting the human intelligence employees at OpenAI recently.
Reportedly, “OpenAI OpCo, LLC is a Delaware-registered operating subsidiary of OpenAI that develops artificial intelligence products, manages commercial deployment, and operates platforms like the OpenAI API.”
