Rally to Keep Coal Out

On September 15, the Berkeley City Council will vote on a resolution opposing the handling, storage and transport of coal in the San Francisco Bay Region. The Keep Coal Out Coalition will rally outside the Berkeley City Council meeting while the council considers the resolution. Our event will feature local leaders in Public Health, Faith, Labor, and Environmental Justice; larger than life puppets blocking a mock coal-train; Singing Resistance; flash mob-style dancing; and new banners, posters, and picket signs designed by local artivist David Solnit and created at a Sept 13 Community Art Build.
