SEIU USWW Security Guards In SF Protest Conditions & Demand Living Wages & Safety
SEIU USWW security guards rallied in San Francisco for living wages and safety on the job. They say that they will strike if they don't get their demands met.
Thousands of California building security workers who are members of SEIU USWW are fighting for a contract for living wages and safety on the job. Building security guards are being used as police and have been stabbed and faced dangerous situations. They are also facing AI inferred cameras on the job and they spoke out at a rally in downtown San Francisco. They threatened a statewide strike of all security guards if their demands were not met. The union had members of the bargaining committee from Los Angeles and Silicon Valley and represents 45,000 workers in California. David Huerta the president is also president of California SEIU which has more than 750,000 members in the state.
