CNA SF Kaiser Nurses Protest AI, ICE, Palantir & Staffing Shortage Threatening Patients

NNU CNA Kaiser nurses at 24 hospitals rallied at the hospitals and demanded a halt to the introduction of AI which they say is harming patient care and is not helping with the staffing shortage. Kaiser which has over $60 billion in reserve is using chatbots to get rid of mental health clinicians and also laying off nurses.They also demanded that the fascist tech company Palantir be kicked out of the hospitals and said that the company was also involved in the fascist terror attacks on immigrant workers through ICE.
The CNA nurses also had a previous rally to protest the discharge of a DACA Filipino nurse who the hospital terminated because of Trump's order taking away protection of these workers.
The rally took place on September 1, 2026 when their contract expired and they have been negotiating since July.
