SEIU1021 SF Nurses & Community Healthcare Workers Protesting Attacks By Lurie & Union Tops

SF mayor Lurie is pushing a major concession contract that will allow mass layoffs and transfers outside of seniority. The billionaire mayor is opposing prop D that would fund public services and also is opposed to making the billionaires pay. The San Francisco Democratic Party is also opposing proposition 40 which is a one time 5% tax on the billionaires.
At the same time time the union leadership without a fight allowed a change in Civil Service rules that allows the transfer of workers without regard to their seniority. This is a union busting tactic used by the city to target whistleblowers and workers who stand up for their labor and human rights.
The systemic racism continues in the City and County of San Francisco despite years of hearing and protests by the employees. Lurie is also continuing to contract out millions of dollars of work that is being done by City employees. There is no protection against continued privatization which is part of Project 2025 to eliminate all public workers.
