Rebuilding Alliance
Location Details:

We invite you to join us for the first installment of Rebuilding Alliance's 'I Care About Peace' Webinar Series, featuring remarkable youth and educators in Gaza, sharing their stories, hopes, and visions for peace.

Ahead of the webinar, students will create “Pinwheels for Peace,” drawing and reflecting on what peace means to them and what peace looks like in their lives.

Alongside the youth, joining us:
— from Khan Younis, Ms. Najah, who has led the Women’s Program Center Rafah (WPCR) for more than 22 years, has continued the center’s work after being displaced to Khan Younis. Alongside her teachers, she continues to teach children and provide support to her community.

— from al-Mawasi, Maha is an English teacher, and continues teaching children in tents by the beach, meeting students where they are and helping them continue learning despite displacement.

— from Gaza City, Naveen leads Youth Vision Society, empowering young people by fostering independence, responsibility, and commitment while helping them realize their potential and contribute positively to their communities.

— from Deir al Balah, Rafeek, Rebuilding Alliance's Gaza Program Manager

In honor of International Peace Day, Rebuilding Alliance annually brings Palestinian youth to Washington, DC to speak directly with members of Congress about their hopes, experiences, and visions for peace. This year, with the U.S. State Department no longer issuing visas to Palestinians, we are bringing their voices to you.

Given the scale of the emergency facing communities across Palestine— and the many stories that need to be heard— we are launching a series of webinars leading up to International Peace Day. Village by village, community by community, each installment will highlight Palestinian youth, their visions for peace, and what you, as a constituent, can do to help.
