Please join the Democrats for Palestinian Rights - Bay Area to meet and hear from Greta Berlin, an advocate for justice in Palestine since 1967. In 2006, after working in the occupied West Bank, Greta co-founded the Free Gaza Movement, which successfully sailed into Gaza five times in 2008. She was the spokesperson for Freedom Flotilla 1 when Israel attacked and killed ten passengers on board the Mavi Marmara. Greta will be joined by Dr. Mohammad Subeh who is a Palestinian American emergency physician who has dedicated his life to serving others — locally in hospitals, nationally through public advocacy, and globally through annual medical missions in conflict zones, including to Gaza. Dr. Subeh was one of the medical coordinators for the latest Global Sumud Flotilla which was illegally intercepted by Israel in international waters, all aboard kidnapped and tortured before being released.
