Grass Valley Deflocks

by Flock disliker
Grass Valley terminates contract with flock
Grass Valley, a small town about an hour northeast of Sacramento has long has a surveillance problem. The town of around 14,000 had well over 20 of Palantir’s spy cameras known as Flock. For months residents of Grass Valley have been fighting against this system. Using a diversity of tactics ranging from city council meetings to simply cutting down and smashing the cameras, the movement has secured another victory. At the city council meeting on August 11th, it was announced that Grass Valley was suspending its contract with Flock and putting an indefinite ban on mounted ALPR’s. The cameras are set to be removed by Friday, if they aren’t I’m sure there will be a wonderful piñata party across town. The fight will be long, but we will prevail.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
