For decades, US policy has been world dominance through military and financial power as key to exploiting and extorting the people and resources of the world.

1991—Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Paul Wolfowitz stated, “Our policy… must now refocus on precluding the emergence of any potential future global competitor.”

1997---National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski articulated the U.S. imperial strategy for global dominance, to make the U.S. “the world’s paramount power.”

Dollar dominance, financial and economic control, and the massive US debt can only be maintained by controlling the world’s oil supply. Extorting, exploiting, and militarily dominating the Middle East has forced the world to use the petro dollar and funnel profits into buying US debt and investing in Wall Street.

If the US cannot dominate the world, it will destroy any country that refuses to submit. The US has and will employ political, economic, and financial war to cause chaos and depression, in the belief that the US will arise victoriously from the ashes. This is consistent with US policy dedicated to winning a nuclear war.

After 50 years of transferring US industry to low-wage countries while cutting taxes on corporations and billionaires, the US has a massive military budget and massive debt. "Peace through Strength" is in reality "Peace through War". We have witnessed years of financial warfare, theft of foreign funds, economic warfare with sanctions and tariffs, and now criminal military aggression against Venezuela and Iran, considered "The Supreme Crime" under International Law. The world can now clearly see the United States of War, the face of chaos, death, and destruction.

The recent US government request is for $1.5 trillion for the War Department. Additional billions have been dedicated to building US prisons, secret police, and concentration camps while massively cutting funds for social programs; Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, public health, science, education, health insurance, nutrition, corporate regulations, environmental and consumer protections. This is a deliberate policy of destroying worlds abroad and at home, a catastrophe for the vast majority of working people.

The latest edition of Foreign Affairs…….July/August 2026 is titled “Who Will Win the Next War?” This is a publication of the Council on Foreign Relations, a body that helps set US policy and is funded by over one hundred major US Corporations and financial institutions.

This predatory war-mongering culture and economic system is clearly leading us into dangerous, endless expanding wars, barbarism and social catastrophe for the world’s vast majority. Halting this development can begin with building a General Strike and a movement grounded in militant egalitarianism to establish a society dedicated exclusively to peace, equality, cooperation and social needs.

Humanity has a path to ending war and exploitation.
