Blessed is the Flame: Two Bama Frat Bros Killed on Hunting Trip
University of Alabama DKE chapter downsized by 2 thanks to fire during hunting trip
Two University of Alabama students were killed Wednesday morning in a fire near Evergreen in Conecuh County. The students, Mark “McNeil” Mostellar, aged 21, and James “Walter” Hensley, aged 19, were both business majors and members of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Two other occupants managed to escape and were taken to a hospital for treatment, officials said.
The two students had traveled for a hunting trip with two of their fraternity brothers, according to local media. Mostellar was a graduate of UMS-Wright Preparatory School, where he played outside linebacker on the football team. Hensley graduated from St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile.
Delta Kappa Epsilon is part of "The Machine," a coalition of white supremacist fraternities and sororities at the University of Alabama which has controlled the student government for a century. Many members of "The Machine" go on to prestigious careers in the state of Alabama.
