Grab your gloves — it's time to get our hands dirty! 🌱
The East Bay Permaculture Guild is partnering with the Oakland Peace Center for community garden work day on 6/20 as another follow-up to our big unconference spring 2026 edition. This is the foundation of a long-term edible + medicinal community garden project that will share fresh food with OPC neighbors, Wood St. Commons, and building organizations serving unhoused community members.
RSVP here so we can plan tools + food: https://partiful.com/e/OR7hxEAUGAzyB6eANfIt?c=QDdAnflI
On the agenda:
🪵Water and Weed
🪧 Make and place some signs
🌱 Mulch garden beds
🪣 Begin clearing the area near the building entrance (from parking lot)
🍱 Snacks and lunch provided
Have something you would like to add to the agenda? Let us know!
Whether you're an experienced gardener or a total beginner, we need you! Come for an hour or stay the whole day.
We're aiming for ~12 volunteers and need 5–6 experienced gardeners/project leads to help manage work teams.
Questions? Email EBpermieguild [at] proton.me
This garden is rooted in a 2.5-year vision: an edible, medicinal, community-tended space for all who call OPC home.🏡
