Prisoner Support Action Hour

Incarcerated folks urgently need our solidarity this week.

During this action hour, we will briefly cover each person's case, model a phone call, and provide structured time for attendees to make calls, send emails, and/or sign petitions.

If you’ve ever felt intimidated by the process of making calls or writing letters to officials, this action hour is for you.

We’ll walk through the process step-by-step so no one has to do it alone.

We will be answering the asks put out by the following campaigns:

•Mumia Abu-Jamal​ - elder, journalist, freedom fighter, and political prisoner - is in danger of ​going blind. We will be advocating for him to receive specialist intervention.

•Malik Muhammad​, a political prisoner from the George Floyd uprising, is asking for calls to be made to Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution due to the lack of food they are providing Muslims during Ramadan.

•Sonny Burton​, a Muslim elder with disabilities, is set to be murdered by the state of Alabama on March 12th unless the governor commutes his death sentence.
