JBLM DES and ICE A Threat to Our Communities

This article, "SOF-ening the ICE: The Domestication of Special Warfare" https://smallwarsjournal.com/2026/02/27/sof-ening-the-ice/ in Small Wars Journal highlights concerns about the increasing military tactics being used by law enforcement. As active duty Service Members and military veterans ourselves and seeing what we believe to be official misconduct, illegal surveillance of the civilian community, preemptive arrests and physical attacks on citizens, a pattern of false arrests and detentions, attacks on homes and friendships, and retaliation against those who speak out against this misconduct by the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Directorate of Emergency Services (JBLM Police)... we think that this article raises some valid concerns.
