Behind the Scenes at Rebuilding Alliance— Pinwheels for Peace in the Halls of Congress

International Peace Day is dedicated to promoting peace and nonviolence. This year, we brought Pinwheels for Peace and messages from Palestinian and American children to the halls of Congress. With the ongoing mass evacuation orders against Gaza City and massive bombing across the Gaza Strip, the need for peace has never been more urgent.

With support from our staff, children in Gaza and the West Bank created Pinwheels for Peace, each carrying heartfelt messages about their desire for home, friends, school, and a normal life. The pinwheels made by children in Al Aqaba, expressing their wish to help children in Gaza, were a powerful reminder of how compassion can make the world a better place.
