Event Type:

Faithful Democracy and partners
Location Details:
On July 17, communities across the country will rise up in nonviolent action for Good Trouble Lives On National Day of Action, to honor the life and legacy of Congressman John Lewis — and to continue his fight to protect the sacred right to vote.
Join us for a call to action webinar as we hold a critical conversation a powerful interfaith coalition to prepare for this national day of action.
This webinar is an opportunity to ground ourselves in the legacy we’re carrying forward — and the urgent legislation we’re demanding, including the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the SWIFT VOTE Act. I’ll be joined by incredible partners including:
--Reverend Moya Harris, Director of Racial Justice, Sojourners
--Talya Steinberg, Associate Director, Government Relations & Advocacy National Council of Jewish Women
--Minister Christian Watkins, Justice Systems and Democracy Reforms, and Reparations Government Relations Advocate, NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice
--Reverend Dr. Monica Spencer, Interim Georgia State Director, VoteRiders
--Special guests from the offices of Rep. Nikema Williams (GA-5) and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (TX-30).
We are called to stand up in this moment — not just in memory of John Lewis, but in commitment to what he referred to as the sacred right to vote.
Join us on July 15 to learn, reflect, and prepare for action. Together, we’ll make Good Trouble.
