The Palestine Museum US is proud to announce the unveiling of a powerful mural honoring the memory of US Air Force officer Aaron Bushnell, who self-immolated in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC on February 25, 2024. This extreme act of protest was a desperate cry against the US government's complicity in Israel's genocide in Gaza, and Bushnell's refusal to be part of it.

The mural, created by Palestinian artist Taqi Spateen of Bethlehem, occupied West Bank, during his artist residency in the US, will be unveiled on Saturday, July 6, at the Museum's 125-seat auditorium. The striking artwork features a 6'x17' panorama of fields and urban scenes in eastern Gaza, looking west towards the Mediterranean sea, with a smiling Bushnell standing tall and saluting in the foreground.
