CELEBRATE FREEDOM. IGNITE YOUR REBELLION
Independence Day on Friday, July 4, 2025 at 12 PM - 1 PM
The Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom local branch invites you to an Independence Day vigil on Friday 4th July from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 pm at the corner of El Camino Real and Embarcadero Rd in Palo Alto, CA, on the public sidewalk outside the Town & Country Village shopping center.
We stand in peaceful silent vigil, with our signs and banners, for peace and justice, for the abolition of nuclear weapons (via the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons), for our planet's survival, for an end to all war and violence, and for the restoration of our Democracy, respect and unity for the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
We stand peacefully against the President who wrongly thinks himself a King.
This corner will be passed by hundreds of cars in the hour we will stand there. We have signs and banners to share or bring your own sign to steady the course of the "ship of state," to protect our freedoms from hate and violence so that all can find justice and peace.
Come in peace. Leave in Peace.
