Three Young Girls Dead Because of JBLM Corruption

by In Need of Crisis Counseling
Three young children are now dead because of the failure of the Army at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington to provide access to behavioral health care and emergency crisis counseling to a Soldier in extreme need.
Travis Decker and His Three Daughters
Travis Decker, an Army National Guard Soldier, was repeatedly denied access to JBLM (Joint Base Lewis McChord) and thus access behavioral health care and crisis counseling at the Madigan Army Medical Center, located on JBLM.

Travis is now being sought by police for the murder of his three young children. It appears that Travis has been in mental and emotional crisis over the past year and after being repeatedly denied help he finally snapped, resulting in the death of his three children.

Travis is a combat arms Soldier and a graduate of Army Ranger School, giving him extensive training and in his current mental and emotional state he poses a serious risk to the community.

JBLM's actions in denying Travis access to post and thereby denying him access to behavioral health care and crisis counseling almost certainly contributed to him finally losing control and committing these senseless murders. Travis repeatedly sought help but was denied care and reportedly mocked and harassed by senior personnel in the JBLM Directorate of Emergency Services.

Both Federal law and JBLM's own regulations state that personnel authorized care through the military healthcare system must be granted access to post in order to receive that care - and this is especially true for Soldiers seeking emergency care.

This failure on the part of JBLM to provide access to post and to crisis counseling and emergency care to individuals in need must be immediately corrected.
