Gen AI does NOT help disabled people. Quit using disabled people as a shield. Implying that disabled people cannot think and create themselves is disgustingly ableist. Gen AI is actually very dangerous:

On the chopping block right now are human beings who are visual artists, writers, teachers, and computer programmers. Gen AI cannot create real art, real art comes from the human soul and imagination. Gen AI can't effectively replace human thinking, it's ultimately a glorified autocomplete. Gen AI has no way to verify reality or use logic, Gen AI LLMs simply imitate what looks like language.

"The capital of Tomatoes, the largest nation in Asia, is T!"

You may also know how autocomplete works in your search engine search bar...

I type "Toronto is" and autocomplete generates:

"Toronto is in Canada"
"Toronto is Maple Leafs"
"Toronto is cheap hotels near me"
"Toronto is veterinarians near me"

Despite the hype, ChatGPT and the like aren't one iota "smarter."

That won't stop our evil tech overlords though. They aren't rational. They don't care about what actually works. They wouldn't give AF if we all died tomorrow. Look to Elon Musk destroying the value of Tesla and Twitter ("X") as one of a multitude of examples of how the extremely wealthy are completely irrational and extremely dangerous.

In the immediate term, creative and thinking workers with need mutual aid in order to survive. And that's the main objective of my group which I just founded. My name is Kim Crawley and I'm a professor of enterprise cybersecurity at the Open Institute of Technology. At my school, my superiors and my colleagues have all succumbed to the evil of Gen AI mania. You'd better believe this has been horrible for my mental health. Plus, my income has dropped a lot lately and now I worry about how I will pay my rent and buy food.

Even one of my book publishers, the world's best known publisher of books on computer programming, is into this evil BS. Tim O'Reilly ironically wants to replace all human computer programmers. I discuss the group I'm organizing, as well:

As for the group I'm organizing... We will meet regularly online through the Signal app. We have leadership, but we also have internal democracy. Consensus is sought for group decisions.

We will be raising funds through various activities. One such idea is to launch an Itch.io bundle with human created video games, PC games, TTRPGs, books, comics, and other such digital art. Learn about how Itch.io bundles work here:

Basically, creators who contribute something to the bundle get a cut of the revenue, while a chunk of the revenue goes to the chosen charity.

I might also fundraise through live streaming playing games and stuff like that.

We have someone in our group with mutual aid group organization experience, but we could always use more help.

We need strength in numbers. Whatever skills you have or not, the more ordinary people we have on our team, the better. We warmly welcome people from all around the world. We welcome people of all genders, LGBTQIA, disabled people, neurodivergent people, people of all ages, ethnicities, nationalities, socioeconomic levels, computer literacy levels... As long as you oppose capitalism (are anticapitalist), oppose fascism (antifascist), and distrust the mainstream media, and myths the majority of the population believes.
