A coalition of organizations and artists working under the Bay Area chapter of Artists Against Apartheid PRESENT - Bay Area Cultural Resistance for Palestine: A Conversation on artwashing with Mama Ganuush (Palestinian Drag Artist + Activist) and Leila Mire (Choreographer, Educator & Activist) — facilitated by Nida Liftawiya (Artist, Educator & Activist).
Calling all Dancers / Drag Artists / Musicians / Performers / Art-lovers // OF ALL GENRES: come learn more about artwashing and pinkwashing, the role of dance/music as cultural resistance, and how this relates to how you make and consume art! In addition to a rich discussion between Mama Ganuush, Leila, and Nida — this event will also feature drag performance (by Mama Ganuush, herself) and opera (Matheus Coura).
