The Long Now Foundation presents an evening of performance by Star Wars actor and Afrofuturist Ahmed Best, followed by a live interview on stage with Lisa Kay Solomon, futurist in residence at the Stanford school, at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco on Friday, February 14, at 7pm. Ahmed Best is an award-winning actor, writer, producer, and educator; best known for his groundbreaking role as the world’s first major CGI character actor in Star Wars: Episode 1. As a pioneer in Afrofuturism, he has dedicated his career to exploring the intersections of culture, technology, and collective imagination. Join us for an extraordinary evening that blends philosophy, music, and story; and discover how the forces that have shaped our past can empower us to imagine a more vibrant tomorrow.
