'Israel' resumes aggression on Syria, advances toward Damascus
The Israeli occupation continues invading Syria, while simultaneously launching extensive airstrikes on Syrian Arab Army strongholds.
The Israeli occupation continues its aerial and ground aggression on Syria, carrying out several airstrikes over the past few hours, while also advancing in the southern parts of the country towards the capital, Damascus.
According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, the Israeli airstrikes targeted Syrian Army sites and warehouses in the rural areas of Latakia and Tartus, as well as various locations including Masyaf, the outskirts of Damascus, and the Qalamoun Mountains.
On Thursday, the occupation launched airstrikes on Mount Qasioun in Damascus, where the positions of the former regime's Republican Guard are located, after having already targeted a large portion of them earlier.
Meanwhile, local sources from Quneitra reported Friday that Israeli tanks "infiltrated deep into Quneitra countryside overnight, entering the town of Khan Arnabah, one of the largest towns in the province."
The Israeli tanks "entered an abandoned former military position in Khan Arnabah before later withdrawing," the sources added.
As part of its continued incursions into Syria, the Israeli occupation military also issued warnings to residents of villages in western rural Daraa, ordering them to remain in their homes, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent.
