An Open Letter to the JBLM Commander

Dear COL Park
Commander Joint Base Lewis-McChord:

A JBLM Soldier (Sgt Daniel Schmidt) spying for the Chinese! Senior JBLM Officers being charged with rape and sexual assault. A child sex ring on-post. JBLM personnel traveling overseas to have sex with children. Prostitution being run out of on-post housing. Senior JBLM Police officers posing at a Nevada whore house and making a joke of it on social media. Veterans being denied access to suicide prevention resources on JBLM. And JBLM is barring veterans from post when they report these crimes or complain about misconduct by JBLM personnel.

Sir, JBLM is totally out of control. The surrounding civilian community does not trust JBLM and many of us have come to believe elements from JBLM pose a threat to our community. In church yesterday our pastor even talked about how JBLM is harming the veterans in our community - especially veterans in need.

Soldiers warn of corruption in JBLM leadership and retaliation against anyone who dares to speak out against it. Your DES / Police Department has a reputation for corruption, and your DES Anti-Terrorism Office is spying on civilian communities in Washington, Oregon, and California, calling anyone who questions JBLM a "homegrown violent extremist".

We are reaching out to you and asking that you, the JBLM Commander, take immediate action to get control of the corruption on JBLM and that you reach out to Soldiers, Family Members and Veterans who have suffered harm because of that corruption and do what you can to mitigate that harm and compensate these individuals for the harm they have suffered at the hands of corrupt and abusive JBLM personnel.
