On Feb. 19, 2023, hundreds of activists gathered in San Francisco to Rage Against the War Machine. This is the film of that important event. Film premiere! music! refreshments! door prizes! Filmmaker and producer in person. Benefit for CODEPINK S.F. Bay Area. Suggested donation @the door: $5. RSVP for free ticket @Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/east-bay-premiere-sf-rage-against-the-war-machine-documentary-tickets-617856795307 The February 19 San Francisco "Rage Against the War Machine" was a "sister event" to the huge D.C. event the same day. Hosted by CODEPINK S.F. Bay Area, it included participants from across the political spectrum-- all wanting to end the conflict in Ukraine, prevent nuclear holocaust, cut the Pentagon budget, free Julian Assange, and more. The event was expertly filmed by Justin Hetrick and crew (www.JhetFilms.com), including drone shots and coverage of the rally, parade to Lockheed Martin in the SF Financial District where the Billionaires for War performed "More War Please!", a skit starring the oligarchs and billionaires profiting from the war machine, and everyone got to practice the "Duck and Cover" exercise that the U.S. military promises will prevent injury from a nuclear bomb. Then it's up to Pacific Heights for a cocktail party at Nancy Pelosi's house. At 26 minutes long, it's a lively look at the event with an important message: We can and must unify to end the war machine's power in order to survive the twin existential threats of climate catastrophe and nuclear winter. The people everywhere want peace and true security based on mutual respect and love of life, not war and war spending, oligarchy, patriarchy, racism, sexism, militarism, capitalism and imperialism. We are powerful. We are the 99%.
